INSURANCE
Our office accepts most health insurance plans.
Insurance problems are common and we will do everything we can to help you. Insurance questions can be directed to Jann or Kim.
When signing up your children with our office, ask to sign up with "Andorra Pediatrics LLC." In most cases, you do not have to pick a specific pediatrician in our practice to sign up with. If you are told you need a provider number, please call our office for that information as these numbers change frequently.
We are currently a participating provider with the following insurance plans:
- Blue Shield of Pennsylvania
- Keystone Mercy
- Personal Choice
There are many smaller insurance groups not listed here that we participate with. Please call our office to see if we participate with a specific plan not listed here.
New Insurance Information for Children and Families:
EMERGENCY ROOM
Problems involving life and death should obviously be handled in the emergency room. When in doubt about the seriousness of your child's illness or injury, please take your child to the closest hospital. Some insurance plans require you to contact either their company or our office before going to the emergency room. It is helpful to be aware if this applies to your plan before an emergency arises. If you have any questions about use of the emergency room, please talk with our office.
Many problems encountered after office hours can be handled over the telephone. We are available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week to help you resolve some of these issues. When possible, call our office and leave a message with our answering service. Be as specific as possible about your concerns and ask them to contact us immediately. We may be able to help you avoid a long wait in the emergency room.
SPECIALISTS REFERRALS
There are two main reasons for referrals to a specialist.
Your concerns about your child's health are very important to us. Many times we will be able to reassure you about your concerns. If we are not able to answer your questions or alleviate your fears or concerns, we will recommend a specialist to help us resolve these concerns.
Every insurance plan has their policies on how referrals are handled. Our office is familiar with many of these policies, and will try to make the process as easy as possible for you. If we feel that a referral is needed immediately, we will try to help you get an appointment with the specialist before you leave the office.
