Dear Dr. Selig and Nurse Michelle,
I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you did for my son Mason. The month of February was a living nightmare for my husband and me as we were shocked to hear a doctor thought Mason had a life-altering syndrome. No one really wanted to talk to us about it, even his own pediatrician did not want to comment or help. You both were angels to us. You did not even know us or treat Mason in your practice, yet both of you went above and beyond to talk me through this and to take action, get the testing, and get an appointment with a geneticist. I can't explain to you how much your help and compassion got us through the month. You both were our saving grace. Also I owe more thanks to you for contacting us and Mason's doctor about his low hemoglobin. As it turns out, 5 days after your call regarding his counts Mason was admitted into C.H.O.P. and given a blood transfusion. He was very sick for a long while and just recently has restored his red blood cell production and is showing a normal count. They believe it was the virus T.E.C. If it wasn't for your care and immediate concern who knows what would have brought him into the hospital and how low his counts would have gotten. I am sincerely so impressed and gracious for the type of people you both are. Single handedly you both have restored my view on the presence of good hearted people in the World that will stick their neck out for others in such a selfless way. I also wanted to let you know that Mason's genetic tests all came back as normal and the geneticist sees no signs of the syndrome. The words "thank you" are not enough. Please know that you both have made such an impact on our lives.
Forever thankful,
Elena Poillucci
